These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Smart Kid Story ("the Service"), operated at smartkidstory.com. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use the Service. By creating an account, you confirm that you are 18 or older and are a parent or legal guardian of any child for whom you create stories. The Service is intended for parents and guardians to create content for children ages 2–10.

2. Accounts

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You may not share your account with others or create multiple accounts.
• You must provide accurate information when creating your account.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

3. The Service

Smart Kid Story uses artificial intelligence to generate personalized stories and illustrations for children. You provide a child's name, age, gender, avatar appearance, and an adventure theme, and the Service generates a story with illustrations.

4. AI-Generated Content

• Stories and illustrations are generated by AI (Anthropic Claude and Google Gemini). While we run automated safety checks on all generated content, we cannot guarantee that every output will be perfectly appropriate.
• If you encounter any content that you believe is inappropriate, please report it to us immediately at support@smartkidstory.com.
• You acknowledge that AI-generated content may occasionally contain errors, inconsistencies, or unexpected outputs.

5. Your Content and Ownership

• You own the stories and illustrations generated for you through the Service. You are free to save, print, and share them.
• By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to host, store, and display your generated content as necessary to operate the Service (including the story sharing feature).
• If you use the sharing feature, your story and illustrations will be viewable by anyone with the share link.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Attempt to generate inappropriate, harmful, or offensive content
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the underlying AI models or systems
• Abuse, overload, or interfere with the Service or its infrastructure
• Use automated tools to access the Service (bots, scrapers, etc.)
• Misrepresent your identity or impersonate another person

7. Usage Limits

We may impose limits on story generation (such as daily limits) to ensure fair usage across all users. These limits may change at any time.

8. Availability and Changes

• The Service is provided on an "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access or uptime.
• We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice.
• We reserve the right to introduce paid features or subscription plans in the future.

9. Termination

• You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon deletion, all your data (account, avatars, stories, and images) will be permanently removed.
• We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in abusive behavior.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Smart Kid Story and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to damages related to AI-generated content.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
